My favourite role models... I'll go with:
1. Aung San Suu Kyi, the Burmese opposition leader who's been under house-arrest for what seems like forever.
2. Carl Sagan (sadly deceased), who knew how to discuss science and religion without spitting (something Richard Dawkins has yet to learn to do).
3.Richard Feynmann, also sadly deceased. As blunt as he was, his books are wonderful... and he tried everything.
4.Vesselina Kasarova... the Bulgarian mezzo soprano who is boringly normal off the stage and electrifying on it. And has been keeping a low profile while doing many great things for Bulgarian music... and very open-minded despite being a Greek Orthodox.
Who don't I want to see or hear of anymore in the news?..too many! ;o)
From the recently deceased blond ex-bombshell that the US media is really over-covering,
to the recently imported to America... one rather hip English soccer player and his used to be rather hip pop singer wife,
to that very weird used to be American 'King of Pop' who had acquired a most weird form of ..er...he claims it is 'vitiligo' who can't seem to leave young boys alone,
to that deranged American tele-evangelist preacher who loves to predict disasters and called for an assassination of another country's leader... and his colleague who famously thought it a proof of his righteousness in praying for a tornado to go hit another town instead of his,
O, I wouldn't mind not hearing anymore of that renown scientist who can't go 2 sentences without calling a religious person an idiot, either... An atheist that I am.

Thanks for your message. I'm just in the process of putting an article about Martin Luther King on the web - as it's the anniversary of his death on the 4th April. He was one great man.
Aung San Suu Kyi is a pretty amazing woman too. She's sacrificed so much for the sake of her people.
In terms of other amazing people I think I'd have to add my Mum. She's not famous but she is very special and definitely someone I look up to.
People that annoy me? I suppose I'd have to go for those over-inflated egos in the news who do nothing but build themselves up for their own purpose. Isn't it a shame when those who make themselves look good overshadow those who keep quiet.
