Why I’ve Taken on More Work

The Lure of Writing

I won't get paid for it, I might be the target of abuse for it, so why have I decided to write another blog? Because I love writing so much I can't get enough of it.

For some reason I’ve decided to take on even more work at a time when I’m already rushed off my feet. But it’s something I’m quite excited about.

I’m going to be writing a fortnightly blog for the climate change group I belong to on a community-based website. Okay, it doesn’t sound too much and it’s not something I’ll ever get paid for, or even expect money to do, but it is something I’m keen to get involved in.

I’ve belonged to the group since the end of the summer but I’m enjoying going to the meetings and finding out the information about climate change.

Did you know that the UN brought out a report earlier this year saying that we have until 2015 to stop irreversible global impact of climate change? The facts are astonishing but more people are interested in the latest sports results or what’s for breakfast than what the world’s leading scientists are saying. So to write something regularly about something I’m interested in, especially when there’s no strict deadlines to meet, will be another thing to get my teeth into over the next few weeks and months.

I’m hoping to put the first blog on this weekend, so by the beginning of next week you should be able to read it by clicking here.
