As we go into December, the British weather has taken another turn for the worse with rain sweeping in and staying. So going out of the house hasn’t been very nice this week and it doesn’t look as though as it going to improve – for a while at least.
So why is it I’m finding myself going out of the house more and more as the nights get darker and the rain comes down?
This week I put together a brief presentation on Transition Towns, which are an idea to make communities more resilient to climate change and other related problems. And I spoke informally at the climate change group I go to. It’s started to become something I’m really getting into even though I wasn’t too sure it would be at first. And it went down so well I was asked if I could use it to start off a series of talks we’re putting together for early next year.
But how bad would it be to arrested and convicted for your beliefs or just for expressing yourself in the way you want to. Then again, it would also be rather foolish to get yourself involved in something which could get you into trouble anyway. Wouldn’t it? Read this week’s article and say what you think.
