The Hypocrisy of the World

A New Age in Double Standards

Is religion being the most hypocrital thing in the modern world, or is it merely remaining unchanging as part of a society in which we expect everything to be uniform?

When we are all part of the same world, why is it that we can’t get along peacefully? It’s strange how we all want the same thing but find different ways of expressing it and of achieving it. Surely as what are supposed to be the most intelligent creatures on the planet we would be able to sort things out ourselves without resorting to killing and hurting each other.

But for some reason, our freewill has led us in many cases towards destruction and separation rather than reconciliation and harmony. We see things as different to us and a threat to our existence rather than a chance to grow and develop and learn from others,

I find it painful when people I meet refuse to accept others even when they have a lot in common. Even the confusion between skin colour and attitude is a good enough reason for some people to hate others with a different coloured face. They don’t realise that by working together we can achieve so much more even though we’re different. They can’t see that “difference” is sometimes positive rather than negative. But they do see it as something which is a good excuse to their narrow-mindedness.

Surely we can live in a world where people are able to practice what they want and live their lives without constant prejudice from others who in some respect show just as much division in their own lives.
