Being unwell again this week gave me time to research this week's article. And after writing it, it's made feel rather more at ease with feeling under the weather.

There’s something with me at the moment which means that I keep picking up little bugs and viruses and every other week I seem to be coming down with one thing or another. I don’t know if it’s a mixture of having a son who can get the odd thing from a friend and me being at a school where some pupils are sent in whether they’re sick or not, but hardly a week goes by without me having headaches or feeling ill.

This week, it’s been something which I wasn’t sure first of all whether it was a migraine but then turned into a flu-like aches and pains virus. Whatever it is I don’t like it but now I’m feeling better it has given me a chance to catch up with a bit of writing as well as having one of the worst days of my week of work.

Researching my article for this week, it’s made me realise just how different the so-called developed nations of the world are. To be ill in England means free access to the NHS, while other countries only have private healthcare. But in Egypt, the provision of healthcare can come down to something as ridiculous as which God you believe in.
