As this is likely to be my last blog before the new year, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy 2008. It seems like only a short time ago we were going into 2007 and suddenly a whole year has passed by. The world is a little older, we should all be a little wiser and hopefully we are all healthy and happy.
But Christmas and New Year is so much to so many. I can remember the celebrations for the millenium when we were told all the computers would crash and it would be the biggest ever party and neither of those came true. This time, we're entering a new year with the hope of slowly moving out of a new and improved Iraq, while suddenly faced with the prospect of an unstable Pakistan. Sometimes it makes me think that whatever advances we're supposed to be making, we never really get that much further forward and in some cases we need to go right back to the beginning before we can make progress at all.
But whatever happened to you in 2007 I want to wish you all the best from my God in 2008. As always I'll be seeing the New Year in with some of my family and some friends and pray that whatever you'll be doing and wherever you are, you're safe, warm and well as January starts.
